Nairobi, Kenya, 30 April 2019 - Ambassador Alex G. Chua and Madamme Marie Marla Chua hosted a Filipino Lunch for the ASEAN Ambassadors and their Spouses in Nairobi.

The Lunch is the celebration of the culmination of the partnership between Embassy of the Philippines and the Zen Garden in Nairobi to showcase Philippine cuisine for the Filipino Food Month in April 2019.

The Filipino Lunch not only highlighted the dynamic Philippine cuisine but likewise emphasized the dynamism and vibrant relations and camaraderie of the ASEAN community in Nairobi under the chairmanship of the Philippines.

H.E. Cherdkiat Atthakor and Mme. Ploenpotte Atthakor, Thai Embassy, H.E. Loh Seck Thiong and Mme. You Siew Sze, Malaysian Embassy, Mr. Wibanarto Eugenius, CDA, Indonesian Embassy attended the lunch from the four ASEAN countries having representations in Kenya.

The Philippines is Chairman of the ASEAN Nairobi Committee in 2019.
