NAIROBI, 15 October 2024 – Overseas Filipinos from East African countries took part in Pag-IBIG Fund’s webinar, “Kumusta na ang Pag-IBIG Mo?”, hosted by the Philippine Embassy in Kenya on 13 October 2024.
Speakers from Pag-IBIG Fund provided information on various programs and services while addressing questions from participants eager to maximize their membership benefits.

NAIROBI, 07 October 2024 – The Philippine Embassy showcased the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines at the Diplomatic Day event of Daystar University in Machakos County, highlighting the essential role of culture in fostering international relations.
With the theme “Expanding Horizons: The Role of Cultural Diplomacy in Shaping Global Careers in International Relations,” the event featured a panel discussion, cultural performances and country booth exhibitions that were attended by guests from the academe, diplomatic missions, and the Kenyan government.
In her remarks, Ambassador Tang introduced the Philippines and highlighted the pivotal role of cultural diplomacy in promoting the country’s identity abroad, fostering mutual understanding, and strengthening bilateral relations. She also discussed how globalization, international migration, and the rise of digital platforms have created both opportunities and challenges for cultural diplomacy.
At the Philippine booth, university students and guests engaged in fun Q&A games about the Philippines and enjoyed an assortment of Filipino cuisine, including empanada, puto, lumpiang shanghai, and turon. Many students also had fun posing for pictures against backdrops of Philippine tourist attractions and culture, to the tune of Pinoy-pop hits. END
