The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has launched a mobile application (app) named OFW Pass that is currently on test run in selected countries. The app is an online platform that enables OFWs to quickly access the services of the DMW. It has the following features:
- It replaces the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) with an online version;
- Each OFW Pass account is a repository of the OFW’s vital information, such as passport details, personal details, and employment contracts; and
- It includes a directory of the hotlines of all Philippine Embassies, Philippine Consulates General and Migrant Workers Offices (MWOs) worldwide.
The app, already available for download at Google Play Store and App Store, is not yet fully operational in Africa and is still undergoing technical changes and improvements. Thus, OFWs are kindly requested to monitor developments.

Updated Health Protocols and Minimum Public Health Standards for Travelers to/from the Philippines
The public is advised of the following updated protocols* on vaccination certificates for travelers to and from the Philippines, in view of the lifting of the state of public health emergency throughout the Philippines:
- For International Arrivals: Presentation of vaccination status and vaccination certificate for COVID-19 is not required. All arriving international travelers are accepted regardless of their vaccination status;
- For Departing International Travelers: The vaccination requirements depend on the destination country. The Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) recommends that travelers check the requirements of their destination country; and
- For OFWs and Seafarers: The issuance of the International Certificate of Vaccination for Prophylaxis for Yellow Fever Vaccine and other vaccination depends on the requirement of the agency/company.
Please be guided accordingly.
